13th Region Basketball tournaments will return to The Arena next year

This article exert comes from http://thenewsjournal.net of Corbin, KY.  An article from Dean Manning.

” After a one-year hiatus, the 13th Region Basketball tournaments will return to The Arena in Corbin.

Arena Manager Connie Hunt announced in April that an agreement has been reached with 2014 host Jackson County High School to hold the boys and girls tournaments at the facility.

Hunt said she is thankful to see the event return to The Arena, noting the additional seating and amenities and central location benefits the respective schools while the influx of teams and fans, benefits the city. While not as large as Rupp Arena or E.A. Diddle Arena which hosts the girl’s state tournament, playing at The Arena gives the players the opportunity to experience a game in that type of atmosphere, she added.”

The debate continues: Should the Region tournament be at the Arena or at school sites? Listen to the The Steve Black Show debate the issue in a previous episode from March 2013.

13th Region Basketball for the 2013-2014 season (The WAY TOO EARLY Predictions)

It is WAY too early for high school basketball in the 13th Region, but school is almost over and Summer is around the corner.  Basketball season will be back before you know it.  With kids playing in AAU Leagues and gearing up for Summer ball, I wanted to get your thoughts on the WAY TOO EARLY favorites to take the 13th Region in 2014.
